(h) TROM - 2.15 Slavery
-
0:07 - 0:11Although you may think that there will be a very long analysis
-
0:11 - 0:14you might be surprised by its simplicity.
-
0:14 - 0:16The definition of slavery:
-
0:16 - 0:22State of political, social and economic dependence for a country,
-
0:22 - 0:24a social category or an individual.
-
0:25 - 0:28As long as food can only be obtained with money
-
0:28 - 0:30(the monetary system owns it),
-
0:30 - 0:32and you can not live without it,
-
0:32 - 0:36you are a slave to the system which restricts it from you.
-
0:36 - 0:40Now consider the fact that you are born into the monetary system,
-
0:40 - 0:42you do not choose it.
-
0:42 - 0:45Life is not a right in the monetary system,
-
0:45 - 0:46it's a privilege. Some people don't get that privilege.
-
0:46 - 0:50Some people don't get that privilege
-
0:50 - 0:53Ok kids, here we are at this slavery exhibit.
-
0:53 - 0:57As you can see the slaves were kidnaped from their homes,
-
0:57 - 0:59chained together for weeks.
-
0:59 - 1:03They would cram them onto this ships in very ... conditions
-
1:08 - 1:09As you can see right here
-
1:09 - 1:11they were treated like animals
-
1:12 - 1:14they worked all day long for no pay
-
1:19 - 1:21some of the slavery masters were very cruel
-
1:21 - 1:25they whipped them and they beated them as you can see in some of these pictures
-
1:28 - 1:31So, before moving on are there any questions?
-
1:32 - 1:34And is this still happens today?
-
1:44 - 1:53[ Alternative Solutions ]
-
1:59 - 2:02[ 1) Abundance / 2) Education ]
-
2:02 - 2:07The abundance of goods and services and educating people.
-
2:09 - 2:12But if we're speaking about abundance,
-
2:12 - 2:15we're speaking about incompatibility
-
2:15 - 2:17with the monetary system.
-
2:17 - 2:18I'm sorry
-
2:19 - 2:23I don't want to be an emperor. That's not my business.
-
2:23 - 2:25I don't want to rule or conquer anyone.
-
2:26 - 2:27I should like to help everyone:
-
2:28 - 2:31Jew, gentile, black man, white.
-
2:31 - 2:34We all want to help one another, human beings are like that.
-
2:35 - 2:37We want to live by each other's happiness not by each other's misery.
-
2:38 - 2:40We don't want to hate and despise one another.
-
2:40 - 2:44In this world there's room for everyone and a good Earth is rich
-
2:44 - 2:45and can provide for everyone.
-
2:46 - 2:48The way of life can be free and beautiful.
-
2:49 - 2:51But we have lost the way.
-
2:51 - 2:53Greed has poisoned men's soul,
-
2:54 - 2:56has barricaded the world with hate;
-
2:56 - 2:58has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.
-
2:59 - 3:02We have developed speed but we shut oursleves in:
-
3:02 - 3:05machinery that gives us abundance, has left us in want.
-
3:05 - 3:09Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness - hard and unkind.
-
3:09 - 3:12We think too much and feel too little.
-
3:12 - 3:15More than machinery we need humanity.
-
3:15 - 3:18More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.
-
3:19 - 3:23Without these qualities life will be violent and all will be lost.
-
3:23 - 3:26The aeroplane and the radio have brought us together.
-
3:26 - 3:29The very nature of these inventions cries out of the goodness in men,
-
3:29 - 3:32cries out for a universal brotherhood for the unity of us all.
-
3:33 - 3:35Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world,
-
3:36 - 3:39millions of despairing men, women and little children,
-
3:39 - 3:42victims of a system that makes men torture
-
3:42 - 3:44and imprison innocent people.
-
3:44 - 3:46To those who can hear me I say
-
3:46 - 3:48"Do not despair."
-
3:48 - 3:51The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed,
-
3:51 - 3:55the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress:
-
3:55 - 3:56the hate of men will pass
-
3:57 - 3:58and dictators die.
-
3:58 - 4:02And the power they took from the people, will return to the people.
-
4:02 - 4:03And so long as men die
-
4:04 - 4:06liberty will never perish.
-
4:07 - 4:10Soldiers! Don't give yourselves to brutes,
-
4:10 - 4:12men who despise you, enslave you,
-
4:12 - 4:13who regement your lives
-
4:13 - 4:16tell you what to do what to think and what to feel,
-
4:16 - 4:18who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle,
-
4:18 - 4:20use you as cannon fodder.
-
4:20 - 4:23Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men,
-
4:23 - 4:24machine men, with machine minds
-
4:24 - 4:26and machine hearts.
-
4:27 - 4:29You are not machines! You are not cattle!
-
4:29 - 4:30You are men!
-
4:30 - 4:33You have the love of humanity in your hearts!
-
4:33 - 4:35You don't hate, only the unloved hate.
-
4:35 - 4:37The unloved and the unnatural.
-
4:37 - 4:41Soldiers, don't fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!
-
4:41 - 4:43In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written:
-
4:43 - 4:44"the kingdom of God is within man"!
-
4:45 - 4:46Not one man, nor a group of men
-
4:47 - 4:48but in all men - in you!
-
4:48 - 4:50You the people have the power!
-
4:50 - 4:53The power to create machines, the power to create happiness!
-
4:54 - 4:57You the people have the power to make this life free and beautifull,
-
4:57 - 4:59to make this life a wonderful adventure!
-
5:00 - 5:01Then in the name of democracy
-
5:01 - 5:03let us use that power!
-
5:03 - 5:04Let us all unite!
-
5:04 - 5:06Let us fight for a new world!
-
5:07 - 5:08A decent world
-
5:08 - 5:10that will give men a chance to work,
-
5:10 - 5:13that will give you the future and old age and security!
-
5:13 - 5:16By the promise of these things brutes have risen to power!
-
5:16 - 5:18But they lie, they do not fullfil their promise,
-
5:19 - 5:22they never will! Dictator free themselves
-
5:22 - 5:23but they enslave the people!
-
5:24 - 5:27Now let us fight to fullfil that promise!
-
5:27 - 5:29Let us fight to free the world,
-
5:29 - 5:31to do away with national barriers,
-
5:31 - 5:35to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance!
-
5:35 - 5:37Let us fight for a world of reason,
-
5:37 - 5:39a world where science and progress
-
5:40 - 5:42will lead to all men's happiness.
-
5:42 - 5:45Soldiers, in the name of democracy,
-
5:45 - 5:46let us all unite!
-
6:09 - 6:11Knowing that we are part of the same species,
-
6:12 - 6:14it is unacceptable to allow others to die
-
6:14 - 6:17due to an oppressive system.
