One minute Changes (Guitar Lesson BC-182) Guitar for beginners Stage 8

  • 0:05 - 0:06
    Hi, How are you doing?
  • 0:06 - 0:07
    Justin here.
  • 0:07 - 0:08
    In this little video,
  • 0:08 - 0:09
    we're gonna be checking out
  • 0:09 - 0:12
    your "One Minute Changes"
    for stage eight.
  • 0:12 - 0:13
    Now, at this point
  • 0:13 - 0:16
It's really up to you to be working
on what Chords you think are the hardest
  • 0:16 - 0:18
    and going through
    and working on them
  • 0:18 - 0:20
    By picking the hardest ones
  • 0:20 - 0:21
    you're gonna improve your technique
  • 0:21 - 0:23
which is what, at this level,
  • 0:23 - 0:25
    that's a kind of
what you should be working on the most :
  • 0:25 - 0:27
it's trying to improve your weak points.
  • 0:27 - 0:29
    Now, a couple of things
that you might want to consider
  • 0:29 - 0:32
    Particularly, one shape
that we looked at in the last lesson,
  • 0:32 - 0:34
which was the big G chord
  • 0:34 - 0:37
    Now, the big G chord,
    we're using all four fingers,
  • 0:37 - 0:39
    changing to D chord.
  • 0:39 - 0:41
It's a very very common chord change to make
  • 0:41 - 0:43
    particularly a lot of
AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi
  • 0:43 - 0:45
    that kind of rock stuff.
  • 0:45 - 0:47
    Especially the acoustic rock stuff.
  • 0:47 - 0:49
That's a really really common change,
  • 0:49 - 0:50
so do a little bit of that
  • 0:50 - 0:52
partly so you get used to hearing it
  • 0:52 - 0:53
as well as being able to play it.
  • 0:53 - 0:54
And the thing that you'll notice is
  • 0:54 - 0:56
you get a third finger anchor as well
  • 0:56 - 0:57
    changing from big G
  • 0:57 - 1:00
    to the regular D,
    open chord.
  • 1:00 - 1:02
So, that's one that you might want to check out.
  • 1:02 - 1:04
    The other one that you
might want to work on a little bit
  • 1:04 - 1:07
is going from a C chord
    to the new two-finger G
  • 1:07 - 1:09
    that we talked about
    in the last lesson.
  • 1:09 - 1:11
    That just uses your
    third and fourth finger.
  • 1:11 - 1:13
So do a little bit of work going
  • 1:13 - 1:15
    C to that G
    over and over.
  • 1:15 - 1:18
It would also be ones that
possibly I'd suggest you work on
  • 1:18 - 1:19
    but otherwise,
  • 1:19 - 1:21
it's just pick the ones that are the hardest
  • 1:21 - 1:22
    and off you go.
  • 1:22 - 1:24
So this is another one of
    those uber-quick lessons.
  • 1:24 - 1:25
It's just time for you to get to work.
  • 1:25 - 1:26
    See you soon.
  • 1:26 - 1:27
    Bye-bye.
