When the health of the US economy is built on people buying things and services, the grey-conomy (the ageing of the US consumer into retirement) is an economic crisis revealed. If economic data were nutrition, Neely Tamminga would be a nutritionist, and in this talk she is recommending some diet changes.

Neely is CEO and Chief Whiteboard Artist of DISTILL—a company she co-founded in 2017. During her 20-year career on Wall Street, she would routinely apply seemingly imperfect and disparate data to help ground conversations about consumer behavior to money managers and institutional investors and would regularly appear on CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox Business News.
