hi, we are a group Cancel and we would like to introduce our project HotKarot

it is about fast food for new millennium and well..

we are actually making carrots in buns with various sauces

this is the rest of the Cancel group, right now making some kind of living sculpture

so, I will tell you the story of our project and how did we actually came to this idea

this picture is from May 2011, when we made and tasted the hot carrot for a first time

and this is actually the embodiment of the „beating the flavour“ idea

since then it has all begun - people started to invite us to their events

and we started to think about the project more seriously and thoroughly

well it's obvious that we are responding to the cult of hotdogs

however it’s not supposed to be somehow overweening or offensive..well maybe a little bit..

but for example this is a real photo taken in front of my house

where somebody marked his park place with hot dog...

which is maybe the best place on the street, where hot dogs should be

our core idea is “fast food as a game” - this was actually our starting point

we think the platform of fast food could be used in many more ways than it is used now

and so we came to the concept of mobile fast food in the city

Open Sauce - Open Source is a simple pun

Open Sauce is an online project which relates to the HotKarot game in the streets

and it is actually a development platform for recipes

where the user/the cook became a true Open Source developer

well what’s our goal in Open Sauce: the core idea is to connect street and cyberspace

and to build this connection and start the game we need to establish a platform

where people interested in creating sauces which taste good with hot carrot could meet

well that’s where are we now ...

we still don’t have the mobile HotKarot stall

and we still have those plastic containers and carry all our stuff in our backapacks

and this is one of our inventions - a hot dog cooker from Tesco

which we renamed as “hot carrot cooker”

well , we are nov actually in the middle of the story

we have begun to develop the Open Sauce platform

the HotKarot project really works and we have already built a related community of people

and as soon as the programming of OpenSauce is finished,

we would like to build the mobile fast food stall

and finally realize the game

what are we looking for:

we are looking for means and funding to build the stall

and for someone who will design it

..everything has to be mobile..

I don’t know, maybe the guy whose name I can’t recall now, the steam power guy, could help us..
