Worum geht es in der Dokumentation?
Als der Kommunismus in Polen am 4. Juni 1989 zu Ende ging, verschwand die überwiegende Mehrheit der Frauen in Solidarität von der politischen Bühne. Sie wurden vergessen, als ihre Kollegen die wichtigsten Machtposten in einem freien Polen übernahmen. Dieser ergreifende Dokumentarfilm von Marta Dzido und Piotr Śliwowski, in dem es nicht an Spannung, Intrigen oder Tempo mangelt, erinnert uns an diese vergessenen Heldinnen und gibt uns eine neue Perspektive auf die letzten 30 Jahre der polnischen Geschichte.

What's the documentary about?
When communism in Poland came to an end on June 4, 1989, the vast majority of women in Solidarity disappeared from the political stage. They let themselves be forgotten when their colleagues were taking over the most important posts in power in a free Poland. This poignant documentary by Marta Dzido and Piotr Śliwowski, in which there is no lack of suspense, intrigue, or pace, reminds us about these forgotten heroines, giving us a new perspective on the last 30 years of Polish history.
