Legendary investigative journalist and author Bob Woodward shares the inside story of President Richard Nixon's downfall and what was learned from the Nixon White House tapes. He warns that we are entering a new era of secrecy that harkens back to Nixon's days. We think we are resilient, but if we are infected with hate and lack of knowledge, we could lose our democracy, Woodward argues.

Bob Woodward is regarded as one of America’s preeminent investigative reporters and non-fiction authors. He has worked for The Washington Post since 1971 as a reporter and is currently an associate editor there. While a young reporter for The Washington Post in 1972, Woodward was teamed up with Carl Bernstein; the two did much, but not all, of the original news reporting on the Watergate scandal that led to numerous government investigations and the eventual resignation of President Richard Nixon.
