Hi guys! Let's talk about herbal teas!
  • Not Synced
This is a lovely, lovely world!
  • Not Synced
Is it a great way to hydrate? Yes!
  • Not Synced
Is it a lovely way to start the day? Yes!
  • Not Synced
Does it give a cozy, warm feeling? Yes!
  • Not Synced
And can't fruit you heat extract
    beautiful flavors
  • Not Synced
    that you wouldn't have
    in a cold drink? Yes!
  • Not Synced
I'm going to give you a combo today,
    which I think is brilliant.
  • Not Synced
If you look at this, this is turmeric.
  • Not Synced
If world worth having a look at this,
  • Not Synced
    unbelievable, brilliant to use
    in your cooking, of course.
  • Not Synced
We normally get it like this,
    as a dry product.
  • Not Synced
Either way, this is absolutely packed
    to the rafters with iron,
  • Not Synced
    which is not bad thing
  • Not Synced
because we want to have lovely,
    healthy blood cells
  • Not Synced
    and it's really, really good
    for our general health.
  • Not Synced
Now, we can absorb more iron
    in the presence of citrus!
  • Not Synced
So, whether is orange or lemon,
  • Not Synced
and there's juice and a lovely zest there,
  • Not Synced
this is going to make a delicious drink!
  • Not Synced
Look at the color! Oh my God!
  • Not Synced
Watch your hand because it will stain.
  • Not Synced
    Get this into a jar.
  • Not Synced
Now, what I love to do
  • Not Synced
is I make little teas in an airtight jar
  • Not Synced
-- I use that as my tea pot --
  • Not Synced
obviously make sure it's a nice,
    [inaudible] jar,
  • Not Synced
    something that is heatproof,
  • Not Synced
    and whatever is left over,
  • Not Synced
    goes into the fridge
    and then you chill it,
  • Not Synced
and you get a totally different
sort of flavor spectrum when you keep it.
  • Not Synced
I love doing it with things like
    lemon, orange...
  • Not Synced
If you got a speed peeler,
  • Not Synced
those essential oils come out of zest,
just a couple of bits of zest,
  • Not Synced
    literally 3 bits of that
are going to transform your tea.
  • Not Synced
    A bit of this slice
and a few bits of that.
  • Not Synced
    You can absolutely sweeten this
with a little bit honey, if you want to.
  • Not Synced
So, a little teaspoon of honey in there
for a drink for 2-3 people.
  • Not Synced
    It's delicious and that balance
  • Not Synced
    that sort of the bitter,
    the fragrant, the juicy...
  • Not Synced

    and the honey is lovely.
  • Not Synced
    Some boiling water,
  • Not Synced
just a little bit of thyme goes in
  • Not Synced
    and let's let it steep
    for a couple of minutes.
  • Not Synced
Let's talk about what we can say
about these herbal teas for a fact.
  • Not Synced
We've got vitamin C in the orange,
  • Not Synced
and the vitamin C in the orange
    is going to let you
  • Not Synced
absorb more iron from the turmeric
    -- double pleasure --
  • Not Synced
But in the thyme, you've got calcium,
    can you believe it?
  • Not Synced
    We always associate sort of
    calcium rich food with dairy,
  • Not Synced
but actually, it's in thyme as well.
  • Not Synced
    So you can see,
    they're not empty calories.
  • Not Synced
    These are not like naked
like in a lot of soda,
  • Not Synced
this is beautiful stuff, which is amazing!
