The InfoAmazonia Network is a project

aiming to carry through open technologies

a mapping about the quality of water

in the Amazon.

We going to work with a data capture and

some physical and chemical parameters

of the water. This will allow us

to evaluate the potential of this water

is or not contaminated,

and disclose and treat this data,

disclose to the interested people who

will register through

cell phone number,

we will send a SMS

and if any of the parameters accuse that

water may be contaminated,

and from more specific tests

about it,

these indexes will be available

in the website InfoAmazonia Network

when they will be fired for

that network registrations.

The parameters that we decided to adopt

to monitor the quality of water in the

project are: pH, ORP is the Redox

potential of water,Turbidity,

electroconductivity, temperature,

barometric pressure. Are some variables

that worked together can

conclude for us the potential of water

is contaminated or not.

From a point, an analysis that

alleges that water may be contaminated,

a more specific test,

by using laboratory chemical analysis is

performed, thus allowing, for example,

as the relation between the pH and

the ORP, that we tend to analyze the

water searching for fecal coliforms,

so we make a more specific test.

If the fecal coliform test accuse that

water may be contaminated by sewage

Then an alarm system is triggered

by SMS to the community.
