California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is one of the largest universities in the country, and serves a diverse population of students from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. This video depicts how CSUN reaches into the surrounding communities, with students providing peer counseling to high school students to help them with their college decision. Here two high school students share how CSUN's Near Peer mentors Stephanie Morales and Alexxa Wimberly have provided valuable advice to help in making such a life-changing choice. There is also additional information about the varied programs offered to help incoming students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college. Student filmmakers Jonathan Wong and Pamela Villagonzalo, from CSUN's acclaimed Cinema, Television and Arts college, shot and edited this video that offers a glimpse of how CSUN changes young people's lives every day.
