Battling cancer is tough enough. Imagine fighting it when you're just 14 years old - at a time when you should be thinking about high school and your future instead.

Helping Lisa Stinson make it through her treatments and stay positive was her dream of going to the Bahamas, a dream that was made a reality by the Children's Wish Foundation.

Today, Lisa is a cancer survivor. As she began to have those thoughts about what she should do with her new-found lease on life, Lisa heard about a special program at Algonquin College. The Event Management program is a graduate certificate, teaching students the hands-on skills, knowledge, and experience needed to succeed in the event planning industry. The program runs several events - on a $0 budget - to raise funds for...you guessed it, the Children's Wish Foundation. Each year, Event Management students raise nearly $100,000 for Children's Wish.
