反而你会看到上面写着120元
(fǎn ér nǐ huì kàn dào shàng mian xiě zhe yuán)

或者是更口语的说法
(huò zhě shì gèng kǒu yǔ de shuō fǎ)

你可以说这个商品价格是
(nǐ kě yǐ shuō zhè ge shāng pǐn jià gé shì)

120块
( kuài)

所以简单来说
(suǒ yǐ jiǎn dān lái shuō)

中国的货币是人民币
(zhōng guó de huò bì shì rén mín bì)

但是如果用来表达
(dàn shì rú guǒ yòng lái biǎo dá)

商品的价格的时候
(shāng pǐn de jià gé de shí hou)

你可以用“元”跟“块”来表达
(nǐ kě yǐ yòng yuán gēn kuài lái biǎo dá)

So, when are we supposed to use

元
(Yuán)

and when are we supposed to use

块
(Kuài)

在比较正式的场合，比如说
(zài bǐ jiào zhèng shì de chǎng hé bǐ rú shuō)

如果今天你是到一间高级的酒店
(rú guǒ jīn tiān nǐ shì dào yì jiān gāo jí de jiǔ diàn)

或者是高级的餐厅
(huò zhě shì gāo jí de cān tīng)

那这个时候永远就会比较适当。
(nà zhè ge shí hou yǒng yuǎn jiù huì bǐ jiào shì dàng)

但如果今天你只是跟几个朋友
(dàn rú guǒ jīn tiān nǐ zhǐ shì gēn jǐ gè péng you)

(dào lù biān tān)

那这个时候你就可以用块来表达

So if I go to a hotel, and I spend about

What does 等值 mean?

等
(Děng)

means "the same“

值
(zhí)

means ”value“

so if we put two words together,

等值
(děng zhí)

What do you get?

We get the "equivalent" or "exchange rate"?

Exactly.

So we say A and B

that means?

That they both have the same value.

That's right.
